Bloody hell I cant do vertical coils. They the hardest to wick.

Ive found that an absolute breeze. Weird as I know others who say the same. I always put it on a mod and I work on a flat surface. Decent tools and magnifying lamp and everything. Its the 'laid down' coil. Ive no spacial awareness with it.

Its a few that Disco sent me - not sure on the wire but the first one was great - now its all gone south. Yep ten wraps (I think thats the only one that has in the ones he sent me though). 1ohm and read as 1..29

Sounds like Kanthal 26g that will come out at 1.2 for 10 wraps on a 3mm id or there about

Maybe the shorting is down to the coil being too high and touching the chamber when you put the tank back together after building

@rew Ive just had a play thinking that. Ive been worried about the space at the bottom not thinking about hitting the chamber. Its stopped shorting now

Glad to hear. It's all part of the learning curve. So are you still struggling with wicking?

Constant gurgling/bit of leaking the last few times I wicked. I did fine first time and its bearable but justgetting on my nerves. Im overwicking for sure, but then I go the other way and put sod all in
I just needed a rant - its gotten me mad tonight when I can do the zephyr no problems.

Rant away. It happens to us all where we get a tank that we find difficult to set up. Others tanks you find you just get it straight away. It's normal.
