To SMOK or not to SMOK?

I've never been a fan of the Minikin, they just look....off...

As a long time user of the Alien, I have to say they are good mods but I think the Smoant Charon is by far the Nicest Mod ive used, Incredibly responsive, VERY well built, looks beautiful, Brillaint size, so far no issues with it, Really packs a punch and for the price you just cannot go wrong.

I've been hearing a lot about the Smoant mods mentioned and all of it positive. If you have a bit more cash then the minikin v2 is lovely, seems to be some quality issues reported about this as well though.

Just as a side note on this mod. It will only accept 22mm atomisers anything else will overhang. And hone waking up from sleeping (5 minutes or so without usage) it has around 2 seconds of delay before firing. Not deal breaking issues, but enough that mine is still sat on my shelf gathering dust.

Have you considered the Voopoo Drag, it's high on the list for my next purchase, but only 157 watts, not a deal breaker for me

Wow, lots of feedback. Thanks for all the comments. I've been looking at the minikin and although I agree it looks more solid to me, I think I prefer the display on the alien as it seems clearer. This mod then threw up another one that caught my eye though, the smok g-priv. Anyone had any experience with them? I still need to check the other mods mentioned but I definitely will today

Ah, thanks for adding that. I'd prefer to get one that can sit a 24mm atty easily flush. My current evic has a little overhang which isn't a massive issue but I know that when I get a new one, it'll bug the hell out of me if it doesn't sit right.

I think they've sorted the paint issues out on the newer ones, mine has no chipping whatsoever.

So I saw a Smoat Charon yesterday and loved the look of the copper with the Thors Hammer grip. The guy behind the counter was also using one at the time and said he hasn't looked at his Alien since getting it. The only reservation I have over this is I've heard about a rattle coming from it. Anyone find this is an issue?

Me too - I just can't justify it replacing one of my Wismec Reuleaux's at the moment, but it looks lovely... and I've tried it before!
