Hi all. I have a brand new and prebuilt (coil and wick) Tobeco Hammer fitted with a Kayfun Lite on its way,
its my first mechanical mod.

As its prebuilt i'm thinking its best to take it to bits and give it a quick clean with some rubbing alcohol, give it a good dry off and put it back together, pop the battery in positive first and fill the atomiser at the bottom.

Heres the questions!....

Is this safe to use with a 3.7v 900ma 18350 flat battery?

How often do you need to recoil the Kayfun Lite, and is there any "warning signals" such as getting a burnt taste etc?

Also do you only need to check the ohms with a 510 resistance tester after you have re-coiled if your using the atomiser with a variable voltage device?

Any help and / or tips appreciated

Thanks in advance

Hi indigotheory.

1. Unless the battery is a very cheap one. The fully charged voltage should be 4.2v. You should also use imr batts.

2. Re-wicking is down to taste. When you notice a lack of vapour and or taste. Using a micro coil and cotton is best, you will only have to dry burn the coil and change the cotton. Much easier. There are plenty of tutorials for this.

3. If you're using it on a mech such as the hammer, checking the resistance is essential before you fire it up, in case you have a short. That would be very bad.

Hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for the info, came today, looks very cool, feels solid......sending it back as its just not for me, i'm sticking to my totally wicked e-pipe, i also have a vision x-fire (also wood) and of course the trusty ego-c. Might try one of the Innokin VTR's at some point. Id far rather vape safe than throw myself into the mods not really knowing what i'm doing.
