Here's a short, and basic, guide to filling a Kayfun atty from the top rather than the filling port at the base. Hopefully, it may be of use to someone. I can honestly say that I have never had juice leak through the air hole using this technique. :D

Apologies for the quality!

The only think I have found by filling this way is, if there is still liquid in the tank. You will see an air bubble appearing once you start to loosen the top. So on the first couple of draws, you get a bit of a gurgling, but not a big issue to invert and blow it out.

I use the same method with my estick. Never have I had a problem with leakage.

...also saves having to worry about dropping (& losing) that damn tiny filler-hole screw !

I dont get this, iv got a kayfun v4 top on a KFL so it should be easy but it just deos not work and i dont see how it could. When you cover the air hole you might stop the juice going down the centre but nothing stops the juice completely filling the chamber right up to the same level as your liquid (the top if your filling it up) so i can fill from the top but its guaranteed to fill the chamber + chimney ?

Unless you flood the chamber from the top no liquid should enter from the bottom juice channels until you take a draw and cause a pressure differential that cause fluid to be drawn up the juice channels.
That is why it should work.
I have no idea why it does not work for you.

you dont need a pressure difference when the top is off for the liquid to flow through the juice channels , the juice will always equalise its level when the top is off as there is no vacuum to stop it. The only possible thing that could is if the wick is packed so tight over the juice channels that the liquid cant flow through but that would only slow it down.

It works for me and everyone else on this post.
Unless your juice channels are extra large or your juice extra thin then I do not know why it does not work for you.

Also, I should point out that the KF in the video is a 3.1, not a lite. I always fill my lite through the bottom filler hole, but the valves on the 3.1 were a royal PITA so I filled from the top. :D

Sorry for any confusion caused. :D
