Hi guys

Anyone have feedback on triphammer?

I ordered a few of his flavs this week and to be honest im a bit gutted.
Fizzy triffle and raspberry ripple taste identical.
Cant tell the difference between hubba bubba and rainbow drops
Fruit pastels is a bit non descript
And t&h standard tastes rank

Is it just my taste buds because everyone seems to rave about triphammer :umm:

I have Fizzy trifle, Tiger stripe, Jaffa cakes, Puros sabta clara, and nougat.
Like the trifle and Tiger stripe. Jaffa cake is close re the orange and choc, but no sponge cake flavour.
Nougat is nice but doesn't remind me of nougat.
The other is not my bag.

All of them needed more than a week to fully develop. You can't write them off without giving them a chance to steep well.

Cool, I wasn't sure if triphammer needed steeping, will give them a week.
Will give me a bit of time to rack up my post count so i can fire em in the classifieds if they still fail to impress :-p

Its always best to give them at least a week if possible. We love Fizzy Trifle (found that it needed 2 weeks+ steeping) Wham Bar, Refreshers all good from fresh but improve with a steep.

We got here Fizzy White Mice but it was the last of the batch so well and truely steeped. Now, the bottle was almost 5ml short so Tim sent us 10ml of his fresh mix as a way of saying sorry and we can talk from both prespectives.

Fresh and unsteeped.

On the inhale you pick up a hint of white chocolate and some fruitiness and not much fizz at all but leaves a pleasant taste in the mouth. A really nice flavour.

Steeped (judging by the colour it looks to be around 4 weeks steepage)

On the inhale you get a more matured chocolate flavour which isn't sickly like some cheap white chocolates then you get a nice fruitiness that we can't put our finger on what it is but its nice and cuts through the chocolate nicely. While all this is going on you hit with a fizzy tingling sensation on your tongue and as you exhale you really feel the fizz leaving a lovely refreshing taste in the mouth which makes you want more.

This is DEFINATELY proof that Trip Hammers juices after a good steep improve not only the flavour but the fizz as well.

Stick with them mate and bung them away for steeping. We got 30ml of Treacle Sponge N custard on its way :D

yeah handmade liquids usualy need to steep i wasnt on this forum back when i started vaping and i made a right balls of it i thought so many liquids were crap and these are liquids that i now love

Thanks for the info guys, will give em a good steep and stop being so hasty :p

I bought the tiger stripe and blue surprise to see what all the fuse was about gutted, steeped both for 10 days but both not for me. cant stand the tiger stripe very burnt sweet caramelly taste and very dark and sticky both at 1.8 my normal strenght way to strong for me
put them back in the cuboard for a month see if it improves Sorry but that just me.other may like it.

Yeah, they have changed over a week, still not for me though, shame as I really liked the sound of em!

Will give em another week before throwing the lot in the classifieds

I had a similar experience recently ordered 8 liquids and they didn't taste anything like the great reviews I'd read, my overall impression was the flavours were just too weak as if someone had got the mix wrong, I shot off an email to triphammer's site asking for advice and this is the reply I got from Andy ...

"I have spoken to Trip and he said to make sure you're using a fresh wick.
Also the juices are made to order so steeping is key.
Trip recommends leaving the top off for 24 hours near a warm, dark and dry place.
Then putting the lid back on and keep it in the same place until you are happy.
Hope it goes well for you."

So that's what I'm doing at the moment, cap off, nozzle off and letting the liquids breathe for 24 hours, then tomorrow I'll test them again, if the flavour remains weak, I'll let them sit but with the caps back on for a week or so, rinse & repeat.
