Hi, this is the second RBA i've tried out and my first build on it seems okay except for one thing, i've got a single 1.2ohm micro coil made from 28awg Kanthal in there with a cotton wool wick, which seems to be fine loads of vapour, no leaks, gurgling or flooding and i'm using it on a mechanical mod, trouble is i'm getting a burnt taste on it. Can't be the juice as i'm using the same in other tanks and it's fine.

Can anyone help me out please? Because other than that i'm pretty chuffed with it. Thanks.

Build pics would be helpful, but I'll try anyway.

Could be a hot spot on the coil, or the cotton is too tight through the coil.

I'm new around here but, could you have too much wick in the coil strangling the flow? Is there enough quick around the fluid channels? (I've just got my first RBA so I'm new to this)

Thanks for the quick reply, I was going to try and avoid pics as the tank is still half full of juice and it's a PITA draining it out! I'll bare your comments in mind though and strip it down when i've vaped the tank empty, i did put the cotton in fairly loose though after watching the P. Busardo video on youtube, could be a hot spot but the coil seemed to glow evenly from the centre outwards when i fired it up prior to wicking it.

You don't have to empty the tank to show the coils?

Might be worth emptying the tank though as too much burning can taint the liquid giving it a burnt taste regardless of new wick (as I found out with my iclear30)

I don't? Well then in that case, I don't know how to show the coil with out draining the tank! Instructions (idiot proof variety preferred) will be gratefully received.

Can't you just take off the metal sleeve?

Can't you just take off the metal sleeve?

Unfortunately not, have to take off the chimney to expose the coil, and that is surrounded by the juice in the tank. Thanks for your willingness to help though, i shall pull it apart later and play with the wicking.

Problem solved! I stripped the old wick, took a couple of photos before i did though
