I have posted this not to draw attention to the fact that despite Vaping for over 10 months I am still a newb, but to help those who find themselves in the same position I do.
new equipment, no instruction leaflet what do you do ?
the safe thing is to go to the forum or look on the Internet.
the unsafe thing is to guess!!!
So I opened my Vivi rebuildable tank and thought lets give it a whirl, whipped off the top and looked inside
you see that big inviting looks like a fill hole well STOP that isn't a big inviting fill me up with juice hole, after pumping 2ml into it and wondering where my liquid was going, it hit me like a ton of bricks that was the air hole as juice seeped around my fingers just to compound the fact that indeed I had moved up a level to full time idiot!!
composing myself and whipping off the tank I ran to the kitchen to wash out my now maple drenched tank, a good wash down and blow through the air hole, and dry down with a cloth then dry burn, Ha Ha no one will ever know my foolish act.
i was now back at square one (I hoped) so search the net and find the instructions..
what you fill through the wick hole, I couldn't even see a wick hole!!! But in all fairness I had not assumed the wicks joined each other magnetically on the cover had I?
so I started at would be step one for any one with any sense, for me it was about step seventeen give or take a few screams at myself.
i placed the blunt syringe into the wick hole and watched as the liquid appeared in the tank as if by magic, I then placed the cap, found my resistance level and set my battery and fired up.....my cheeks imploded as I received no draw at all and I looked like I did on Saturday after watching Scott's smoke ring video.
i must have destroyed it?? But no I loosened over the connection and it sprang into life hitting the back of my throat and with a bit of taste, I had been Pre warned that the coil was harsh to say the least but I'm sure once I re-wick it will get better.
i must also say despite the massive tip I am quite enjoying it, though that might be down to the relief of not destroying on its maiden fill.
So for any one who like me finds that they have done something verging on stupidity the best thing to do is share the experience as I'm sure there a few people like me who will continue to avoid instructions and think they know better.
and IMO I am a complete idiot but at least I will learn from this, Happy Vaping and please don't think any less of me.
