Twisted Micro Coil and Cotton Wick

Ok so I thought I'd have a do at the twisting thing. It's nothing fancy like the picture in the start of this thread. All I did was twist 2 lengths of .2 kanthal together and done 5 wraps round some 2.5mm silica (doubled over) and the resistance is 1.2 ohms.

It's turned out to be a very pleasant vape with plenty of vapour, a good throat hit and nice flavour.

But by twisting, doesn't it just make it one coil of a thicker wire?

And cotton? Still not going to go there as it makes my spider senses go off

From the cotton wiki

"Decomposes after prolonged exposure to temperatures of 150˚C or over."

i love my cotton , dont take it away from me :'(

Still knocks the socks off smoking dude, it all works

i did have a nasty experience with cotton last week. i set a new wick up and forgot to put juice in and vaped it.

it was akin to being mortal drunk and lighting the wrong end of a ciggy. thought i was going to die. 1.0 ohm dual coil with 2x2mm airholes. thats one lung hit i wont forget in a hurry.

lesson learned folks ! keep your wick wet :D

Noooooo that sounds rough mate, bet you won't do that again hehe

All these various displays of different methods of coiling and wicking and they all have two things in common. You never see the devices' resistance or them being vaped.
