Unable to release child lock on Aspire Zelos 2 to change coil

I have followed the user guide but am unable to release the child lock to change the coil. The instructions state press down and screw clockwise but it is jammed, Is there anything I can do? This is a new vape kit bought new.

I normally find I have to get a child to make modern technology work.
