Oh yea thats why I thought it put it out there so that people remember this can happen not because the kit is bad at all but this one may have had a flaw. I have contacted them.
Used a 2.1A mostly. I'm not sure if it was perhaps using a slightly higher powered charger, being in the conservatory (it gets damn hot in there), juice leak, or something entirely different.
