Ebey from @Univapo sent me this to try out. I am not affiliated with POTV or Univapo, nor do I get paid to review things.
The Univapo Miso C Pod Kit
https://store.univapo.com/products/miso-c-kit/
The Miso C is a small mtl pod kit with closed pods so there are no coils to replace. The battery is 600mah to keep the size small and it charges quickly with a USB Type C cable that’s included in the pack (20 minutes!). You get a 1.0ohm pod in the device and there’s a handy lanyard included as well. You can use the button to fire it or use autodraw.
In the box you get:
1 Pod
1 Battery
1 User Manual
1 Lanyard
Univapo also very kindly sent me 2 packs of the pods as well so I’ve managed to try several different levels of nicotine in the device. I even took it to the pub last week for a test drive but more on that further down.
Style wise it’s small. You can fit it in the palm of your hand so it’s a perfect little stealth device. The Miso C has a metal outer shell so it’s nice and durable. The one I have is green and red and the colours kind of bleed into each other in the middle. I like it. There’s a fire button on the front with an LED light above it to show the battery level and when it’s being fired. The USB C slot is on one of the sides so it can be charged upright. Branding is un-intrusive with Univapo on the back and Miso C on the front, both at the bottom. The pod pushes into the battery rather than being held with magnets and this makes it very secure; I’ve dropped it several times and the pod stays in. Another good thing is that the filling bung is on the side and you don’t have to take the pod out to fill it up. The filling hole is a nice size and the coil inside the pod doesn’t restrict filling like some pods do so it fills up nice and fast.
Function wise there’s not much to report. It’s 5 clicks on and off but you can also turn off button firing by clicking 3 times, then it’s 3 clicks again to turn it back on. The autodraw is responsive and works well but I did prefer to button fire with this one, which is different from usual for me.
In use I really like this little pod system. It’s small and the 1.0ohm coils in the pods give really good flavour and a good amount of vapour for a non-mesh coil. You can switch the pod around to get 2 different types of draw and this time there really is quite a difference. There’s a hole on the bottom of the pod and if you face it away from the little airflow hole on the side of the device it gives a reasonably tight draw. Face the hole towards the airhole on the battery and it’s a nice open MTL, just what I like myself. I can even get a decent, tightish, RDL draw on this setting as well.
I started off with some 36mg nic salts (I mix my own) and while it was a tiny bit harsh for me it was a smooth enough draw. Good news for those outside of the EU who don’t have the same restrictions we have here in the UK. Down to the legal 20mg salts and it was perfect for my tastes. A nice smooth draw and good vapour with really good flavour again. I took this out to the pub with me and once I was a little drunk and feeling cheeky I was drawing away at my seat nice and stealthily. The one problem I did have that night is that the battery did not last very long, about 4/5 hours. I put it down to the fact that when I’m drinking I’m hitting the vape a lot and hitting it hard, with long RDL hits. The poor wee 600mah battery just couldn’t handle drunken me. In the daytime a sober me managed to get nearly the whole working day out of it with just normal MTL draws. The quick charging time at home was a real bonus as I could just charge it up and be on my way again in 20 minutes. I should note that the 0.8ohm pods do give that bit more vapour and with me RDL vaping on that it drained the battery even quicker but it was a really nice vape so I can forgive that. I'll save those for when I'm having a drink in the house.
I also tried 12mg normal nicotine and while it’s really not what I like it would suit others well, as would 18mg. 6mg was more my thing but then I have issues with normal nicotine when using a MTL device. Anything above 6mg kills my chest and throat so I stick to salts for higher nicotine vaping.
In all I really like the Miso C. It’s small (have I said that already?) and packs a punch above what the size would suggest. I’ve actually still got it in my pocket as a spare vape when going out so that does say something. The Miso C would be good for beginners and those who like a stealth vape whilst out.
