Afternoon Apes

I've got a UTA2 clone from Jim's group buy a while back. The problem I have is I've put about a 0.7 Ohm single coil build in it and a couple of V/W mods I have (iStick 50 & IPV D2) won't read the resistance constantly, it keeps going up to 1.3 or there abouts.

Any ideas?

Nope. But I reckon that's the answer. I'll give it a go tomorrow. Cheers.

Short term it might just make enough difference to put a flat driver on the 510 screw and give it a good clockwise spin, better to do it properly in the long run though. It's not hard to do and you don't even have to disturb the build, you can even leave the tank in place.

PS don't lose those pesky little posi screws from the bottom

A good clean out under the base and a a clean of the mod 510 seems to have stabilised things. Ta very much, I wouldn't have thought of that - now added to my Vape tinkering repertoire.

Actually, scratch that - it's all over the place again. 0.8 ohm build showing as up flickering between 1.1 and 2.6

Very confused.

I use a couple of UTA2's all the time, I would just check that the posts are nice and tight, and make sure the contacts inside the base are nice and clean.

I normally use fine sandpaper or a scouring pad to clean the contacts up and check the post screws are not loose.

The UTA2 likes those hex screws tight on the coil wires, sometimes it's just a case of another quarter turn.

Another thing to check is the 510 positive pin, mine was almost recessed and I had probs with fluctuating resistance. I cut a couple of mm off of the end of a plastic pipette and put that on the positive screw. The 510 is supposed to be adjustable, I think it's all a bit pants.
