I've noticed on loads of vaping videos that the user will take a small drag, exhale usually through the nose then continue for a long drag before exhaling. Why? Does it enhance flavour or give the coil a chance to heat up? If the latter, why not just fire it a couple of seconds before doing a long inhale.

I tried that method and i can only breathe it out through my nose if i cover the drip tip with my tongue, feels odd and pointless.

Also what is slip streaming?

Slip streaming sounds like a euphemism for anal inhalation. LOL. Everybody has there different methods for pleasurable vaping. There is no wrong or right way, just your own individual preference. I don't bother with doing it any other way than what I am attuned to.

If the initial hit is just a small inhalation it will probably just be allowing the coil to reach temperature and then the follow up inhalation getting the full flavour, or simply the vapers preferred method. I don't tongue my drip tip (personal preference) and you can only really choose to exhale or inhale, not both simultaneously, unless you want to cough your guts up. My advice is just do whatever is comfortable for you. I like one big inhalation and I am golden. It definitely makes sense to just pull the trigger for a second and suck away if you are wanting the full flavour of the coil reaching temperature before inhalation. With TC devices this is catered for.

Its because they think it looks cool.

Also I believe slipstreaming is lung inhaling with a slight gap in your mouth, so "slipstreaming vapor and air at same time"

New tanks like the Atlantis V2 and the Smok VCT pro and TCT do the slipstreaming for you with airflow through the drip tip as well as the tank.

Heh ;) Slip streaming is, I believe, inhaling air from around the mouthpiece as well as vapour from inside it. To exhale through the nose simply keep your mouth shut...you'll find sometimes different taste elements become apparent with different techniques, depending on the juice.

The olfactory glands are in the nasal passage. Using your sense of smell may enhance the overall taste experience. French rolling is a first stage mouth to lung but then allowing the vapour to escape the mouth as you inhale into the lungs through the nose.
Slipstreaming is inhaling fresh air along with the vapour. Not only to improve flavour perception but also to cool a warm vape. Wine tasters will take in air as they swill the wine around their mouths.

Well, they say if you lean something new, you've had a productive day. That's me sorted for today then. I've been slipstreaming the whole time and didn't know it ! :D
