Well seeing as it's national No Smoking Day I have decided to give up smoking. Having tried going cold turkey in the past and failing miserably i thought i'd give vaping a go.

So i logged on to a website and bought this ...

... the reviews were mostly 5 or 4 stars and more importantly i thought it looked cool. The kit comes with a free 10ml bottle of E-Juice (i went with vanilla) and I also bought another 10ml bottle of cola flavoured E-Juice.

However what excites me the most is making my own concoctions up, though i need to remind myself not to run before i can walk. I look forward to diving in to the world of vaping and look forward to having people around will be able to answer the numerous questions i will no doubt have.

One post in and i've already messed up. This thread should obviously be in the 'Introductions' sub-forum that i somehow managed to completely miss. Apologies.

Im also new to vaping. I've been doing it now for nearly 3 weeks. I'm really enjoying it. I've made my own juices too. Haven't had a normal ciggy/roll up since I started. Here's to vaping. Although having read some of the posts on here and now why some of the weird stuff is happening to me, like dry mouth, dry skin around my mouth and nose, flavours going wild on and off. Hope they dont last too long. I have to say though vaping is the only thing that has stopped me smoking. And its been relatively easy. Haven't struggled at all, had a couple of moments when i thought i needed a fag, but just vaped and that seemed to be enough. :-) so far so good.

By the power of Greyskull, I have relocated your posts, it is all good my friends, welcome to POTV ;)

Welcome SJ, new here myself, but been vaping about 3 months.

The kit doesn't look bad mate, is that the battery with 3 different voltage settings?

I had one, and they are pretty good... Especially at entry level... Good stuff.

Yeah, could you shine any light on what difference the battery settings have on how the thing works? According to the product details the battery settings are ...

Red - 3.4v
Purple - 3.8v

Blue - 4.2v

It depends what atomizer you are using basically.

3.2v for low res 1.5 to 1.9 ohm
3.8v for standard res 2.0 to 2.4 ohm
4.2v for 2.5 to 3

As a very basic rule of thumb anyhoo.

HTH in the meantime :)

In a nutshell johnny Yes,, by and large the lower the coil rating the hotter it burns (dependent on Voltage) therefore the more vapor produced and welcome :grin2:
