Hi all, just got a geekvape alpha tank and put it on my vapor storm eco mod with a 0.4ohm coil in, it works but not very well, put it on my smok qbox and it works amazingly. Anybody shed some light on why this might be happening??

Thanks in advance

Robb

what wattage you running at as ive found the alpha meshmellow 0.2 needs a good 85 watts but ive not had a chance to try the 0.4 yet but they are rated at 50-80w

not got those mods either so are they both set to roughly the same settings.

Thanks for the reply. The vapor storm eco is unregulated so you cant set the wattage, but has a max wattage of 90 so should handle the 0.4 coils, it just doesnt seem to do the job. Even on a full 10 second fire it produces pathetic clouds. The qbox has adjustable wattage but only goes up to 50w, even at 50w it produces much better clouds.

Looks like the vapor storm eco works in bypass mode, just like a mech/unregulated.

That means its output is only gonna nudge 35 watts or so on a fully charged battery, with a 0.4 ohm coil.

I think it's better suited to rebuildable atties.

Thanks speedfreek, think i need a different mod then too, lol.

Although its odd, I have a smok big baby tank with a 0.4 coil in and that works lovely on the eco mod. I dont understand the science behind it enough. I have ordered a geekvape aegis solo now, hopefully that should work better with the alpha tank and I can leave the big baby on the eco.

which battery are you using in the eco and are you charging it in the mod or on an external charger?
states here do not charge in the mod https://vaping101.co.uk/products/vapor-storm-eco-rda-90w-kit

ive only got one single 18650 mod and on a full charge at 50watts it would last 1 hour 10 minutes but that is with an adjustable wattage kit. on a fixed mod output im guessing as soon as the battery starts draining you would get less wattage and less cloud. just a guess though.

Its an ultrafire 4000, always charged in an external charger. That makes sense, I think I'll just keep the baby beast on the eco mod and put the alpha tank on the new aegis solo mod when it arrives. Thanks for the replies.
