Cheers!
Recently got myself px80, lovely thing it is. What are you'r thoughts on using it with the gtx rba? I'm asking primarily because on the official vaporesso website in the list of compatible devices, px80 is not there. Which is confusing, considering that (as far is i understand) technically it is merely a "regular" gtx subohm coil, nothing but.
Thank you.

Welcome to the forum @Daniel_I

You're right in saying it is a regular GTX coil but Vaporesso have tweaked the design to make the newer ones leak resistant.

The chances are that you've found the older version with a single O-ring

The older RBA should still fit but it only has a single base O-ring so the leak protection won't be there, the airflow won't follow the natural path either, if you wick it too loosely it will piss the bed and a juice spill on this kind of mod means it could leak into the chipset and knacker it over time, that said the double O-ring coils aren't perfect and still leak if unused for a few days.

**If you shop around you can find the newer double O-ring version but even on this site they show the old version in the spec section:

If you still choose to get one I would message the supplier to ensure that it is the new double O-ring version

Even Vaporesso's official site still shows the single O-ring

Is it worth getting the RBA? in my experience no, the GTX stock coils are just so much better for flavour and last ages.

I hope that helps Daniel

Right, thank you for responding, you're talking about GTX-2, and indeed they have a strange lack of info on what is gtx 2 or gtx 1 or any of that, all the information about it is somewhere else for some reason, or hidden. I'm curious to try rba as i like to have a bit more freedom. Their stock coils are awesome indeed, although i find that often all it takes is to change cotton and clean the coil, and you're good to go, especially in 10-20w range, coil itself lasts a while, but it is gunk that shortens it's lifespan. I was also considering taking apart stock coil and rebuilding it, though currently i stuck at not being able to take the top off, as it sits really tight, but maybe i'll get there.

Cheers!

Hello, I am relatively new to the world of vaping so I’ve joined a few forums to learn a bit more as I’m a novice I thought this a better way than what I’ve been doing for the past year an half which is Google searching absolutely everything I wasn’t sure of. So my 2nd year into vaping and making my own coils, I own over a dozen devices an near 20 tanks. Because it’s a very expensive habit however it’s prevented me from going back to cigarettes which was the entire point of it for me. So I am thankful for the gurus who put so much info out there an also the companies who make such things possible. I got a PX80 last week and as I had a vapresso GTX RBA which I purchase before Christmas by mistake, I meant to get the voopoo RBA but purchased the Vapresso one instead I made a coil out of SS an popped it in, it’s a bit tricky with this coil as it has two screws and after watching a few reviews on the YouTube thingy about the RBA which show that we have to just bend the coil rod ends around slightly so they sit against the screw and as it tightens the coil is fixed into place. Also threading the cotton through the coil is a pain as the coil itself is so small in circumference that it literally is treading the cotton through the eye of a needle. I’d upload a pic of it but I didn’t think I was going to read posts on this so wasn’t planning to reply and have t taken a snap, I will do that for next time for certain. Can not really test the coil once it’s done so I primed it and popped the lid cap on and put into the tank and it’s good as. I must say that it’s hard to believe that the wick soaks up much juice because there is so little of it there but it does, however after the first hit on a 2nd hot I get a bad taste. It’s not like burning wick or coil but rather a musky taste, then after a while if I take another hit it all seems fine. I’m thinking that perhaps it’s few to not having enough juice in the wick to go on the coil for it give the juice flavour it should. The cloud is plentiful thick an all good apart from what I have already mentioned.
mom getting 55 ohms an 60 ohms an then after a bit of adjustment 45 ohms and I vaped at 30 watt as the best at reading on the mod (this device has this super function which tells me which is the best wattage to vape at with the coil in and it also auto detects the coil. Cool or what! ) big thank you to Vapresso for this. bro, I suggest you grab the RBA as it is certainly worth the price you pay for it and also even if you only use it a few times a week or one week out the month you will still save on at least one coil which I assume you’re going through 2 a week if you vape every day.

For me I was a 40 a day cigarette smoker so I tend to vape during the day quite a lot, an also a bit in the evening.
