The velocity is working a treat now without changing a thing except for using it on my istick instead of the Xcube 2 so guess it's just that the Xcube 2 doesn't like it.

I currently have my coils level with the air holes will try lifting them when I re coil although it seems to be going ok just now but I know it can do better.

It's my first rda so all trial and error just now

I have just purchased a velocity RDA (Genuine) I have a dual coil 26awg. 5ohm build but I flavour is very muted. I have tried different wicking methods and played about with the airflow but still can't get a decent flavour although I get plenty of vapour.

What build and Wattage does everyone else use?.

Where did you get a genuine Velocity from? They are hard to get hold of at a fair price. I'm after one.

Hi m8. I only have the tobecco version of the velocity, but I find that it only begins to sing with low builds. Currently rocking dual claptons at 0.3 ohms. Are you using the chuff drip tip? If so you could try a standard 510, it will bring you a bit more flavour.

Just done my 1st build of the velocity. Dual claptons is the way to go. Nothing too radical, 5 wraps, 2.5 mm dia, 26g wrapped with 34/35g comes out at 0.3 ohm. Flavour/clouds are awesome. cloudcuckoo has got claptons for sale to get you started. Use the pen trick to clapton your wire if making your own, makes is easy to get a perfect clapton.

Think it might be worth going to 25g for the core.

Damn man, I noticed that soon after posting! There must be stupid demand for these things, and god knows how many they make at a time for purchase. My advice though would be to bookmark the page and check back regularly. Reason being, I registered for their e-mail me when this product becomes available option and they didn't! It was only by chance that I clicked on the link on my phone that I saw it was available (for what turns out to be about 10 minutes!)... For the moment, I'd get yourself a clone - while the quality compared to the authentic Velocity is obvious, they are still worth a punt for the peanuts they sell for.

All I'll say about Avid Vaper is this - the service is incredible! I ordered on the 25th and it arrived from the USA today (30th). FIVE DAYS to arrive here in Suffolk! Some UK vendors take longer than that! All fully trackable via USPS online too. I cannot fault the service one bit. As for the Velocity itself, it's the fucking bollocks. The best RDA I've ever used.
