Very STRANGE Sigelei 30W Tube Mod Issue

INTRO:
Hi all, so as is so often the case with we "Rebuilders" we recoil and wick RBA's only to have them leak/flood on us.

SYNOPSIS:
This was my experience with my AGA T-5. Problem was, it was only gradual so at the time I wasn't concerned. I had wiped the liquid dripping out the airhole, leaving it atop my Sigelei 30 watt tube, went away and thought nothing of it. However, later on when I went back to it I was (negatively) amazed to see most of the full tank was now empty and there was juice everywhere!!
In a panic I dismounted the AGA-T5 from the mod, dabbed paper towels to mop up all visible juice, turned the mod upside down and hoped for the best.
To my amazement (positive) when I tried firing the mod with reattached RBA it worked! Or so it seemed.

PROBLEM(s):
1) Even cranked up to full power the draw is considerably weak, like a weak battery, even if the battery is fully charged. Wierdly enough, when fiddling with the Wattage settings at around 12 watts it felt like it was on full power (this happened once, unable to replicate since)

Ok that was the initial noticed problem. Bear in mind I am writing this weeks after the leaked tank occured.
Here is the "strange" thing:

2) I have noticed that when there is a fully charged 18650 battery in this Sigelei 30w tube mod and it is switched OFF!! when I go to try it again the battery has been drained. Not just flat, but putting it into my Nitecore or EFest charger it is as low as 2 Volts.

Any technicians here, please diagnose and recommend…

I'm not a tech expert so I can't diagnose, but I can definitely recommend chucking the battery pronto. Having been drained that low, recharging it isn't safe.

Not a technician either but I believe the technical term used by others is 'it's fucked'

I can be more technical than that, by being drained low there is a chance that the copper inside it has been rearranged and the cell structure has changed giving it an internal hard short. Otherwise known as it's fucked and charging it could make it go bang :D

Wow, scary. I have recharged them (them? Yes them!) a couple of times. And yes they take a lot longer than regular dead 3.6v batteries. Didn't realise I was playing with fire, so to speak.

Is there anyway to dismantel the mod and see what is going on inside? I can then post pics.

Hmmm.

I'd ditch the cells for sure. I also wouldn't want to be using that mod. Unless juice has got inside and caused a short somewhere its got a bad parasitic drain.

I'm not too familiar with aga t5 is it genesis or bottom coil? If its bottom coil there's a definite wicking issue. I would attempt to completely strip and dry the inside of the mod and those cells are toast. Plain and simple, one of the many reasons I dislike nitecore chargers is it should have refused to charge that cell at all. They are imo dangerous and shouldn't be on the market.
