anyone tried both and have an objective view of whether the cyclone is worth the extra cash? I am leaning towards the cyclone (figure i deserve a treat once in a while) but if you add the afc mod and a nice shiny new drip tip its knocking on 60 or 70 beans and i'd kick myself later if i find that the scar performs equally well!

Well I've got a scar. I run it with 2 mirco coils and cotton wool @ 1.1 ohms .
Firstly the taste is similar to a Kayfun lite (Awsome) and the vapor is incredible ....
The air is supplied directly under each coil , coming from the side . There you can adjust
the air flow, although I'd prefer it to be a little more airyer!

So for a tenner its well worth having in your collection imo ;-)

have u got link to the scar ,cant seem to find it

I think you todds reviews has a link for it and it's under a tenner i was looking at it but dont wanna go on dual coils atm

got my scar today. first impressions , its a look bigger than i expected , its a badass looking piece of kit , its a doddle to set up , dont need any tools its just hand twisted posts. the draw with those under coil airholes is really nice too.

ill get back to you when ive trieda few set ups.

but its the same as always , if you can afford it get the cylone , ive used one and its phenomenal , if you cant afford it , i wouldnt be too dissapointed to get this instead.

If you get a Cyclone dont do like i did... bought The Bottom feeder version instead of The Dripper and got The AFC with it. Now i have to buy another one

:eeek:

went with the scar in the end, budget couldnt really stretch to the cyclone with three kids birthdays rapidly approaching. First impressions, pretty impressed. Smaller than i thought and with my big clumpy fingers the finger screws on the posts were a little awkward at first but after a little fiddling around its now working quite nicely. Only had awg 30 in the house so 5 wraps over 3 strands of 2mm silica with dual coil now firing nicely @ 2ohms. The dual air holes right under the coils give good flavour and throat hit, so much so im vaping at around 6 watts now as opposed to around 8 or 9 on my agi dripper (before i rewired that one too) but the small body doesnt leave much room for wick - did try it with the mass of wick it came setup with crammed inside, but wasn't to my liking so am having to refuel more often with the small wick setup as it is now. Got some Ekowool and awg 32 waiting for me in the post office depot (damn you postie - why didnt you leave it with my neighbour like i asked!!) so will no doubt be trying some different setups soon. Thanks all for the input tho, its become a welcome addition to my slowly expanding arsenal of vaping gear and it looks really nice on my zmax. Could've been made for it!

I fancy I'll get a Scar because it looks sweet and will be easier for me to dual with cotton.

Not tempted in the least by FastTech's version: 1439900-4-thumb.jpgFor a start, the casing is ally and not shiny!
