Vivi Nova Rebuild Issue

Hi everyone,

I rebuild my vivi nova heads with .20 kanthal A1 and 3 lots of 1mm silica in a 2mm coil. My question is, does anyone know why factory made (genuine) heads vape amazingly from the get go, where as my home made coils taste really muted and produce less vapour for the first few days? (And annoyingly, very very well for the last 2 or so ml before I have to recoil/rewick)?

It's driving me mad! I've tried using more and less strands of silica, and the coils all come out the same as the factory ones (2.8 ohms). - I'm on a VMAX so I use higher resistance coils..

most standard coils vivi protank ect use thinner wire less wraps less strangulation of the silica try using some 0.18 kanthal 4 wraps will come out about 3ohm.

The main difference is the factory built heads have about 8 wraps on the coil, so what wire are they using ??

I get 7 wraps over/6 under. I think there is NR wire on the legs of the originals, with 8 wraps of something finer. My coil diameter looks identical, and the originals have 4 1mm strands of silica. It's just strange that they start to get so much better before they die...
