I have read that if you are mixing at 70:30 it is not necessary to dilute the vg.

If however I chose to use a mix with a much higher vg content, what is the best to use, water or vodka?

What are the pros and cons for both please?

i've diluted all my boots vg with 10% distilled water...it was wicking fine undiluted but it should carry flavour more effectively..
water wont add any taste unlike vodka which i presume could in certain circumstances.

I am considering using 54mg nic base in vg next time as I have used 70:30 juices from dealers and they are fine. I mix for 18mg so that would do away with the vg altogether, or any shortfall could be made up with water.

I find a splash of vodka goes well in menthol tobacco and mint mixes, 1% is plenty. Some guys I know put a little port in a bottle of goose juice that was a bit thick and the taste enhanced it for him. Choose wisely and the results can be outstanding with increased throat hit.

I could imagine it's pretty easy to mess up a mix as well, but that's part of the learning curve.

if mixing at high VG then addingwater will help stop the VG from muting the flavour. however when mixing at high VG obviously there wont be as much troat hit but if you use vodka then the vodka will help to add a little more throat hit to your high VG mix
