Could someone please explain why I seem to get a smoother draw with more vape when setting my Vamo to watts instead of volts?

I'm in RMS mode.

I've done 4.1-4.2 volts but seem to prefer running 8W.

I'm confused because there really shouldn't be any difference to my mind. Is it that the power regulation irons out more of the voltage fluctuation?

you've left some info out to give you a 100% answer, but perhaps i can say that resistance changes with heat. As you draw, your coil warms up, hence resistance changes and in VV mode you will go "out of spec" so to speak...I believe the vamo in VW mode does many samples per second and adjusts to compensate

What is the ohm resistance of the atty?

In my head then :D

If so, what is the point in offering VV and VW on the same device? Just a gimmick for people like me who adore toys?

No, if you changed between 2.1 ohm and say 1.2 ohm, the VW would adjust the voltage automatically to give you the end result of 8w. :)

The difference is when you change the ohm resistance as with VW you don't have to worry as you will keep at 8w no matter what resistance you have where as the VV will require user preference adjustment, personally I up and down watts and volts with different juice and different attys until i find the right setting and rarely keep on a set point.
