I'm following this thread as I am interested in buying the VIM.
I purchased the s17 with the narrow drip tip and in my opinion it is essential for mtl as the tip it comes with is too wide.

i wonder if you melted the inner seal @Simon G as the base of the tanks get bloody hot ..

It doesn't get that hot, it would need to be very hot to melt that, it may juts have been missed though, could you also send me a pic of the bottom of your tank, I'll also get some pics to compare, so we can find out what the issue is.

yes I did, sorry too many comments coming in : ) seal looks fine, can you now take a pic with the window facing and the tank installed and locked, I'll see if there is a difference in mine

Simon, I am going to ship you another one, can you return the one that having issues, as I want to take it apart and check why the airflow is not working. Thanks. I'll ship that now.

Thanks I had hoped there would be.
Will the narrow tip for the VIM be the same diameter as the s17 narrow tip?
