Weighing liquids far more accurate?

The thing with DIY is , how accurate do you really need to be?
Shock Horror! Rash Statement?
Well, taking "safety" alone, the only mandatory accuracy needed is with the nicotine base dilutions. After that pinpoint accuracy isn't something that needs to cause loss of sleep.
eg, your recipe , via a mixing calculator, for 10ml of 14mg (using 72mg base), 60/40, @15% concentrate = 1.9444ml of nic base, 1.5ml of concentrate, 2.5556 of PG, and 4.0ml of VG.
Rounding this mix off to 2.0ml of nic base, 1.5ml of concentrate, 2.5ml of PG and 4.0ml of VG will make absolutely no difference to your final juice or it's vaping quality, and dosing with the calibrated syringe is a walk in the park, neither will the world end.
However, I can see the relevance of more accurate measuring with complicated blended flavour recipes.

You're right, it doesn't matter, especially for your first mixes.

I always try to do things to the best of my ability though and this is an exercise in creating the best flavours I can, part of that is being able to replicate something I really like so accuracy is right up there in terms of importance.

I agree the difference between 2ml and 1.94ml is inconsequential so as long as I always stick to the 'rounding up' method then things should be repeatable, plus working with scales and a beaker (and maybe a coffee whisk) will make me feel a lot more like a mad scientist/heisenberg ;)

Have you tried that blue juice, yo? It's totally dope, bitch!

Given that 1ml weighs 1gram I was thinking of getting one of these...

It's basically accurate to 100th of a ml, seems like a good idea no?

Weighing your mixing IS far more accurate

however .. 1ml does NOT weigh one gram ...

There is software out there that has the weights built into it (I use Liquid-x) however .. that is rarely correct either and can vary by ingredient, batch, supplier etc.

Yes weighing IS more accurate .. but . weigh a Known measurement of each ingredient yourself and work it out from there.

Thanks, I guess the accuracy on a 1ml syringe is quite good so I could weigh the components and make a little chart although maths confuses my simple brain ;)

i use scales because I'm lazy and it means i don't have to wash sticky syringes :)
Edit: just ordered those same scales, that's a great deal for that resolution
