It doesnt matter if it was a conspiracy or not, it was our own fault to allow the conditions to exist for this to happen, despite being warned over and over that it was just a matter of time.
Over the last 20 years there have been multiple occurrences of situations that almost became this, and each time we ended up dodging a bullet, until this time when we didnt dodge the bullet, mostly because each time it happened we stood there and did nothing.
Maybe we should have moved out of the way of the gunfire.
