Im thinking wick size and wire.

Id like to add that I do like them around the 2.0 - 2.5 ohm mark

Cocktail stick

Oh, and a pair of pound land reading specs so I can actually focus. ....

For 2-2.2 ohms... 8 x 2.0mm internal diameter microcoiled wraps of 0.25mm kanthal wicked with 4ply of 6 strand cotton embroidery thread.

Riptripper's nanocoils (see YouTube) worked well for me too (0.9mm microcoils wicked with cotton wool)

If you're simply trying to build a replacement coil that's more or less the same as the stock heads then:

0.2 kanthal
3mm wick and a piece of 3mm wick on top as the flavour wick.
4/5 wraps (so when you look at coil one way you see 4 wraps and from the opposite side you see 5 wraps) should get you to about 2ohms ish

Once you get good at wrapping them try going up a thickness of wire and getting in an extra 2 wraps or have a play with microcoils and see how you get on.
Make sure you test the resistance of the coils you build with a multimeter or a mod that has a resistance checker on it before you fire them as shorts aren't good.
