What's new

whats missing from your supermarkets shelves atm??

Tons of brown rice and tinned tommys in Killie
The savages here cant wait the extra few mins for the brown rice to cook.
Opposite here. I figured the stockpiling of high-fiber foodstuffs and toilet roll may not have been entirely unrelated

In particular, flour. Haven't been able to get any for nearly 4 weeks.

I did manage to get a wee box of GF flour from my chemist
With my GF prescription.

No worries pal, I know it's easy to build it up & dread going but it'll be way less stressful than you think
It cant be worse than the last time i went, the Sunday preceding the official lockdown, No concept of social distancing at that time, and queues down every isle leading off the tills and every isle having huge empty gaps some even completely devoid of any goods at all.. I seemed to be the only person buying any fresh food at all.. the staff however were excellent and handled the madness with calm aplomb .

after no flour in the local shops i turned to amazon and found a 10kg bag for a tenner,, £50 pnp tho ;( the GF stuff was going for a fiver for a few hundred grams!!!! i didnt check the pnp on those..

Not bad around here at all. Flour, like everyone else is saying, is not in stock everywhere, sainsburys had a few of the artisan flours, lidl did have a whole pallet full and our local shop has some everywhere else are bare. I have not seen any hand sanitizer either apart from my local shop.
There was an interesting article about flour I read, that only 5% of the flour produced goes on sale to the public, the rest to bakeries etc and they said a percentage of that goes unsold, how things can change over a couple of weeks.

eBay is the same, about twenty quid for a small bag, on about being ripped off.
