mine was ss but the threads were trash so opened another ticket, tbh the chrome doesn't bother me, the wick and coill don't come into contact with the deck anyway

Yep I don't mind anyway but I would still like the SS for longevity

Also my replacement they sent that was chrome plated was pretty hard to get to the brass using a kitchen knife.

I don't know about the SS Taifun deck from Fasttech but I can confirm that the air tube does in fact come out. Tried it earlier on just for shits and giggles (public service - very bored) the tube just slid out with minor persuasion.

I'd say it will come out of the SS deck with the right pliers.

Got a good grip on mine with some pliers , in fact semi flattened the tube and it wasn't budging , luckily was able to make it roundish again with the pliers , i'm more than happy with the draw on the fast tech taifun as is , little on the tight side but by no means uncomfortable , so no biggy .

Someone who has and likes both the Ithaka and the Taifun - is there any noticeable difference in quality of vape?

I still haven't got around to buying a Taifun but ordered a second Ithaka as I rate it. Worth getting a Taifun clone?
