Wicking material?

After a fruitless search for shop that sells organic cotton, an idea struck me.. I used to replace the cotton (rayon) in my zippos with a torn up tampon.
It worked a treat, you could even taste the fuel more. I've heard of people using anything from wool yarn to butchers twine for a wick but has anyone tried tampons?

neil666harkin No but not a bad idea if you get the non perfumed and addititive free ones... as should be good quality unchemically treated cotton... and pretty compressed. .. (yes some bright eyed twonk has decided what women need is to add perfume into their tampons... fuckwits) I personally don't think adding any chemicals to my intimate areas is a good idea unless they are pleasure enhancing. ..

Alternatives to Koh Gen Do and Shiseido

Ok, a couple of cracking alternatives at reasonable prices to the stupidly priced Koh Gen Do and Shisedo cotton, and every bit as good too.

Muji cotton pads (unbleached) 140 of them for £1.95 MUJI Online - MUJI Shopping

Also Labo cotton pads (unbleached) 200 of them for £10.80 Cotton Labo Organic Cotton Puff Size M (200Pc): Amazon.co.uk: Health & Personal Care

The Muji ones in particular are as cheap as cotton wool balls, but a million times better.
