Made a start on hacking up my worktop samples today, the wenge was looking very sexy until i busted the box in half so it currantly clamped up with glue and time will tell if it can be rescued, so I moved on to the american walnut and had some success!

If anyone is looking for a good place for wood you should try wood turning shops you can get small bowl blanks not too expensive depends on the type and rarity.
Turners Retreat is good they sell some online but there's a lot more choice at the shop.
