You tube rant about e-liquid

I'm someone who still enjoys a tobacco vape and like you smoked rollies for decades. Also like you when I first started Vaping I was looking to replicate the taste of a fag and particularly GV which was my long term favourite. Like you I posted up questions to other Vapers in similar vein. Like you I searched in vein. Lots of juices use names suggesting they taste like this brand and that brand. They don't. Fact.

The conclusion I have drawn is that juice does not replicate the tar and carbon that inhaling burnt tobacco create. I also believe these elements are a big part of the taste of a real smoke. It's not a predefined purpose to get people away from the flavour of a fag. I'm sure if it could have been done it would have.

I will say that I've tried the odd fag since Vaping and different fags at that....and they taste the same. I.e shit
The closest I have come to a rich tobaccoey flavour (tobacco....not burnt tobacco) are the liquid produced by the House of Liquids. They use real tobacco leaves in the production and are amongst my favourites. Give them a try.
Cigarillos, Puros, Guevera....they're all great in my opinion. There are other juices from other vendors too which no doubt others may suggest.

My opinion back at you. Smoke is smoke & that's why it tastes so. Vaping e liquid doesn't burn tobacco so it will never taste the same. Vaping is not smoking, not at all & we have to separate the two out. I hope you find what you're looking for & i also understand what you mean but for my part one of first decisions i made when i switched to vaping was simply an acceptance that vaping is a different experience. I can't replicate my old amber leaf habit & i don't want to try even but i do seek a vape which gives an adequate throat hit & i seek a taste which just hits a sweet spot. I go 12mg strength on all my juices & some of them are an occasional vape with no real draw whereas one or two, or some cocktails are just so nice i don't want to put it down.

I don't understand, why would you want to taste burnt vegetable matter in a liquid form?

Of this was the only option for e-liquids flavours,I wouldn't have stayed with vaping.I used to smoke Golden Virginia roll-ups for 35+ years, and would decline an offer of any other brand of cigarette even refusing a GV roll-up made by someone else.It HAD to be me that rolled it as only I could recreate the exact flavour(in my head anyway)that I liked.I quit smoking 8 months ago(near enough)and have never once craved the burnt leaves taste even sitting in a room full of smokers.I have tried a "tobacco" flavoured juice, that tasted like a smoked food without the food. There was a taste of oak + other tastes that just reminded me of such as smoked cheese but missing the taste of cheese. My initial vaping journey involved avoiding anything that might cause a regress back to cigarettes,so the "tobacco" flavours were avoided for several months & I used fruity flavours pretty much exclusively. If you're craving a GV roll-up then I would suggest you too started avoiding "tobacco" juices too as they appear to be causing you a lack of satisfaction to part of your cravings.

I've tried many tobacco juices, none have tasted like tobacco, probably wouldn't be possible to recreate that flavour as vaping is essentially non-combustible "smoking". I do find myself for this very reason lighting up a real fag from time to time. As everybody here says it does taste crap, but I still enjoy real tobacco, from time to time. But hope to be vaping 100% in the future, without smoking.

I say ditch the quest for tobacco flavour altogether and embrace the morsome, custards and fruits vaping has to offer at 24 mg, no less. ;-)

I actually think, weirdly you may say, that Vaping various juices created using steeped tobacco leaves of various types is superior. The smoke, tar, carbon monoxide and other chemicals could be said to mask the real flavour of tobacco.

When I was a smoker I (like all of us I suspect) would say they could tell the difference between various brands of fags, various brands of rolling tobacco etc. But having had the odd non scientific pull on somebody's smoke of differ types....all I taste is ..well ..smoke. Acrid, burnt smoke. I reckon my taste buds were conditioned to somehow override the nasty stuff to detect the nuance of the actual tobacco. I enjoyed a pipe for many years and loved to try different blends I found at the tobacconist. Tobacco made with port for example. With cigars I found there was a world of difference between a Hamlet an a good Havana.

But would I now? I'm not so sure I would. I reckon they'd all taste like ..well...shit in all honesty. I did the trad thing recently at my sons wedding where all the fellas went outside for a celebratory cigar. It was kind of fun but did I enjoy it? Honestly? No. I felt like I should and I stuck at it but couldn't wait to get inside and get my Guevera filled ecig out inside.

With leaf steeped tobacco juices I find I enjoy the subtlety of different Vapes. Cleaner. Purer. Un contaminated tobacco. My take on it anyhow. Not the same for everyone but whilst I like to vape a variety of flavours, fruits, custards, tobacco with custard etc etc I will always enjoy a decent tobacco vape...not smoke.

I still love the smell of pipe tobacco, even today, but ciggy smoke is a different matter.

House of Liquid cigarillos is closest I have found, but much prefer berry / menthol mixes...
