I've been a smoker for so long I've forgotten when I started(51 years old in Jan)though do recall buying individual "loose" B&H Sovereign" from the corner shop with my weekly 10p pocket money. When I was 13,my pocket money increased to 25p which paid for 20 B&H & a box of matches.I eventually ended up on rolling my own (Old Holborn 1st which my Mother insisted smelled like I was smoking sweaty socks)& changing to Golden Virginia (2 ounces used to last a month) when I suddenly (overnight) developed allergies to many things(including different brands of ciggy)which plagued me until my 30's or 40's.I then suffered many changes in my personal circumstances & my health nose-dived,so I smoked constantly (2 ounces/50 grams now only lasted 2-4 days)& I was out-of-work so filled my time playing online golf.A few months ago,one of my golf friends mentioned he was trying to quit smoking by using cig-a-likes,I asked him for a little more detail & when he told me the brand/cost I looked them up online & mentioned to my GF about them.Next payday,we were @ a garage getting diesel when my GF spotted some disposable cig-a-likes & asked me if I wanted to try one.I agreed, she bought one,it only lasted about 4 hours & the battery was dead but I'd not touched a rolly once during that time so she bought a rechargeable version which instantly reduced my tobacco consumption to 1 quarter, this then halved with the purchase of a 2nd cig-a-like to use while the 1st was recharging.I was chatting to a neighbour who mentioned a shop in the town that sold cartridges for my cig-a-like,when I was touring round the various shops that sold these cartridges I visited a very small independent vendor of tobacco where he mentioned clearomizer (CE4's) & e-liquids he'd just started selling.I bought 1 CE4 & an eGo battery + 10 ml liquid which cured my craving for nicotine so well I didn't touch my rolling tobacco for days.I then opted to finish off the tobacco & since then,I've not touched a stinky since.I've recovered my sense of smell,so now I can smell a stinky(smoker, even out-doors)from 20 feet away,my health has improved so during the seldom sunny days we get in summer(west cumbria should be renamed wet cumbria)I ventured out to various parts of the Lake District & promptly wandered up a few of the fells. This is a massive improvement as I used to gasp for breath just climbing the stairs to bed.
