I have been mixing just over a week and have already heard several different methods of Steeping. I am curious to
A: Your method if different
B: Your opinion on methods
C: Do you accelerate only on emergencies or all the time.

WARNING:
These are methods I have found online, try them at your own risk, don't blame me, thats why I am asking everyone here.

Method A - Standard
1) Place in dark cupboard lid off / dripper off for 3 days
2) Put lid on, shake well, take lid off, dripper on
3) hour later, Put lid on
4) Every day or 2, repeat steps 2 and 3
5) after 5 days, taste and repeat steps 2 and 3 if needed / wanted.

Method B - Xbox Method
Make your mix, shake, place next to xbox / playsation / DVD player, play / watch dvd for 3-5 hours with lid off, lid on, shake, let cool for an hour and your done. (Really !!!!)

Method C - Server / Computer Method
As Step B, but inside your computer (guess same theory applies)

Method D - Bowl of water
Put lid on bottles, place in hot bowl of water (not boiling but just below, approx 90c)
Not too much water, enough so the bottles do not float away.
NOTE: Make sure you have apporox 10% of air in the bottle
Leave in room to cool (approx 1 hour)
Shake and done (Come on!!!)

Method E - Whisk mad
I dont see this working well with 10ml but place in bigger bottle / mix bowl.
Whisk for a couple of minutes.
DONE!!

I only use one method. Remove lid squeeze air out put lid back on shake repeat day and night for 3-5 days. I always have juice ready to go with a good reserve.

I am wondering what effect open lid, shaking, warming etc would have on the break-down of nicotine, which can create some of the stuff we want to avoid (nitrosamines?)

would steeping also work by leaving the bottle, in peace with the lid on in a dark cupboard for 2 weeks work as well?

My understanding of lid on / off is oxidisation
Shaking just to mix the mix up.
Warming, mixing, no idea, hence my post.
My impression is the main point of steeping is to let the flavours mix with the base. not to purify the nicotine.

My lazy arse can't be bothered with lengthy mixing sessions,so I make up 10 ml(or 30 ml)as & when needed. This means none of my juices get time to steep, all was fine until I got some Afro-Dizziac flavouring from T-Juice.It was seriously burning my throat so much I HAD to leave it alone.Whilst it sat in a cupboard I was on POTV & saw a YouTube video on mixing by a guy named Lordy, where he suggested the steeping time could be reduced hugely by "frothing" the liquid(Milk Frother from eBay = £3 ish)but it was 3am,I had no cash & wanted the juice NOW! I own a Dremel-clone and in its toolkit was a tiny cup-shaped brush,so I used that on the Afro-Dizziac & it was instantly vapable.I now use the frothing method on all my juices & they all are useable straight out the mixer.

Here it is,with the A-D still dispersing all the bubbles.

I've read about people having good results with using ultrasonic cleaners for speed steeping. Personally I have had good results using Lordy's coffee frother method for small sample batches (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgjpc0rQWbc) apart from that I use the good old traditional method of a dark, cool place and time (and patience). From my understanding you will never get around the steeping (which = time) process but there are a couple of tricks to give it a helping hand such as moderate heat and agitation (a bloody good shake) but avoid excessive heat and sunlight as they encourage oxidization, which although it turns your juice a lovely colour actually depletes the nicotine content.

Also, some flavours don't require a long steeping period. Unfortunately for me, I like tobacco flavours which do require steeping but I have mixed other flavours for friends that are good to vape pretty well straight away.

In today's society everyone seems to want instant gratification but in my opinion (oops should have put IMO because it's so much quicker) there is no substitute for time. As stated before I have used Lordy's coffee frother method on mixes (like complex tobacco flavours) to get an idea on flavour percentage and if I'm actually going to like the finished product but my best results have come from giving my juices a couple of weeks on their own in a dark cupboard.

So I would advise to mix and speed steep a small batch and if you think it has potential mix 50 or 100ml and let it age (its only a couple of weeks) and before you know it you'll end up with a cupboard full of properly steeped juices to enjoy. Then the question changes from how can I speed steep my juices to how the bloody hell am I going to get through this lot.

At the end of the day do whatever works for you and enjoy your mixing.

yah cappuccino frother a couple of times all the way then leave for 4 days, usually after thats its good to go for someone who cant wait too long but ive been experimenting with various flavors and nothing made a difference they were all pretty lame even after two weeks i also put them in the oven for a wee while on low, i read someone put them in their hub caps and drove around with them all day, this made me think what about the washing machine on a spin cycle but what id put the bottles in i dont know ... yet.

I have heard glove box on a bumpy road, gives heat and shakes them.
But I live in the UK so it does not get hot enough for that, perhaps next to the engine? We have enough pot holes for bumpy roads.
