Zlide tank bubbling & spitting?

Hi all,

I’ve got 2 Zlide tanks that I use with 1.6 Zenith coils. One of them works great and as it should, but the other seems to spit and bubble. I thought it must be the coil but I’ve tried switching the coils in the tanks round and the same tank still spits and bubbles. Both used on same 12 watts.

Any reason why one tank would do this even with coils that work fine in another tank?

cheers

The first thing to check would be the o rings. See if they need replacing with the spares.

Cheers for the reply @rew!

I have taken it apart and had a look and the rings looked alright to my very novice eye lol. Would I notice straight away if the o rings needed changing or is there something I should look for?

thanks again!

Not sure if it would be obvious. Might be worth doing anyway though.

Tried changing o rings but no better, waiting for a torx screwdriver to be delivered so I can try changing the fill port seal

Not much to add... but it does sound like a flooding issue.

There's not much you can do other than strip it all down, clean everything, replace all the seals and keep your fingers crossed.

Just updating this.

I’ve taken the tank apart, cleaned it in an ultrasonic cleaner and replaced all of the o rings/seals. Tank now working fine!

I think the culprit may have been the fill port seal as that was abit gunky when I took the tank apart.

Thank you all for your help! :)
