@Frogprince yeah I prefer MTL, to be honest I haven't tried direct to lung and having just come out of hospital and having pneumonia I try to take it steady until I know my lungs are sorted, also have copd down to the years I had been smoking RYO
Mtl is definitely a wise choice after pneumonia.
I'd try to stick to juices with a 50/50 vg/pg level or even slightly higher in pg is no problem. There's some evidence that vaping with juices containing a good level of pg can be helpful for lung issue's, my surgery has been recommending vaping with juice containing at least 50% pg for its smokers with copd. No results published as yet but it's been running the recommendations for a number of years now so positive results seem to be consistent.
Coil building is simple. I used various stock coil tanks back when I started, ending up with the excellent original nautilus. Still fantastic.
When your ready, put a post on the wanted thread of the classes here.
That way, I'm sure someone will make you a couple of coils and cut some wicks plus include a little wire and cotton for you to get started with.
My own recommendations for first mtl rta's are.
The kayfun lite (expensive but great clones are available for £20 )
The ephro true (again around £20)
The vandy vape berserker mini v1 or 1.5 (can be found on sale from around £15)
Everyone will have a recommendation but these are easy to coil and use plus work well.
A standard mtl coil is made usually from kanthal or nichrome and would be 26/27 or 28 awg. As said, wire is a couple of pound a reel that will last year's.
Seven wraps around a 2.5 ml screwdriver or drill bit and the jobs done.
Cotton can be flashy or simple muji cotton pads (my choice) cost.a few pound for a huge pack to last all year or more.
Plenty of help here in the mtl section.
