What's new

10ml 20mg Nic Salts also says 36mg NS???

So does that mean it's actually about 20mg freebase plus 16mg acid making it up to 36mg or have I got the wrong end of the stick?

Pass!

What I get from reading that is that it only requires 20mg of freebase nicotine to make this 36mg salt (I’ve no idea how). And therefore, stays within TPD limit.

I really don’t know mate, I’ve not really researched much into salts and the chemistry of it tbh, it’s not really something I’m involved in [emoji16]

Yeah I still don’t understand!!
Is it 20mg Nic and 16mg salts??

Fair.

In that case I shall assume that my extrapolation from the given data is correct ;)

It’s 36mg salt nic. And very confusing... because it’s in a bit of a legal grey area :)

If I'm correct in my previous assumption, then it's just a terminology thing really.

To make nic salts you add an acid to nicotine to counteract the natural alkalinity. It's not a real salt.

So, it's still got the same amount of actual nicotine, but because the acid is bonded with it there's more volume for the same chemical component of nic.

If I'm actually wrong, then I return to my original "no idea" ;)
