2 years of e-cig dabbling, now day 2 off fags and looking to buy a mod

Hi folks,

Very new to this forum although I have used e-cigs for around 2 years alongside analogues. I have gradually moved up from a Tornado Tank to a Lavatube with most recently an Aerotank which I really like. I'm still struggling to find my all day vape but am currently combining 3/4 Liberty Flights Home Counties with 1/4 Rhubarb crumble from the Alchemists cupboard and that's working well!

To ensure I get the best possible chance of kicking the evil weed I am thinking of buying a mod and have in mind the following:

HCigar Nemesis clone £35
either a Kayfun lite (genuine one) £67 or a Kayfun 3.1 Hcigar £39 clone.

I also plan to buy Kanthal AWG32 and some Ekowool.

Have I missed anything? Do you think I will notice much difference between this and my existing Lavatube/Aerotank combo? Finally can anyone outline the in differences between the Kayfun lite and a 3.1 clone??

Welcome and well done on ditching the stinkies,you might want to look at the Nem clone on MVAPES,its a tenner cheaper.

Hello and welcome to the planet. I would get some silica too as I struggled with ekowool in the kayfun, some may prefer it so at least you can experiment with different set ups to find what you like. Make sure you have some decent IMR batteries too. I use efest.

You will definitely notice a difference between a nemesis and a lavatube as the nemesis is a mechanical mod (no circuit board) so the quality of the vape will be very much dependent on the set up of your atomizer.

NO...............use cotton it so easy and so easy to change when you swap flavours i have just finished setting up an aqua, a taifun gs, the foggatti and a kayfun lite all with cotton and all vaping spot on

Agree with wuz_uk, cotton is the way to go. Only issue is full steel tanks where you can't see your juice level as dry cotton burns almost instantly.

Thanks for the warm welcome and good advice guys. I checked out MVape but they're out of stock on the stainless steel Nemesis unfortunately but thanks for the tip - they look a good firm.

Well - I think I'm going to order cotton and silica as well to try all three!

I presume you mean just straight cotton wool??

Funny how your cravings vary throughout the day. I've just poured a glass of red after a day with my Daughter and her friends and my body was screaming for a fag but I have resisted by giving the Lavatube a thrashing!! I've made a pact with myself that I can drink as much red as I want as long as I don't smoke!

I only smoked 10 Silk Cut purple a day for the past 21 years and a few St Moritz menthol as a treat on special occasions - would be lovely to find a St Moritz e-juice i.e. subtle menthol.
