21700 mod

40Ts are my favourite 21700. I find the tops of Molicel batteries dent far too easily so I've stopped buying them.
Thanks for the heads up. I’ve only just started with Molicels, so that sort of knowledge, is really helpful. Does this happen in regulated and mech, please?

The 21700 Molis dented from putting them in my Pulse and Odin Mini. Neither have ever been dropped.

Same with the 18650 Molis, they dented from simply screwing battery the cap on an Aegis Solo.

I've never used a mech though I'm afraid.

I've been using P42A's in my Odin Mini DNA 75C (and a load of other 21700 mods) for a year now, and never experienced that problem. I will keep an eye on the Pulse.

Perhaps you were just unlucky with the batch. I have 8 P42A's in regular use, and 6 P28A's, none of them have ever developed dents. My brother has 8 P42A's that I got for him, he uses them in his Odin Mini DNA75C and he's never complained of dents either, and he's pretty observant.

Thanks. That’s truly helpful.

Though, like @hack400, I can see no deformation. Granted they’ve been put in an Evdilo only. But I do charge them in an Xtar four bay.

I think we're right to start looking at batteries for individual needs rather than as simply being good and bad ones. There's always going to be a compromise somewhere and our own vaping styles will determine what's best for us.

It wasn't something I ever really thought about before being almost exclusively MTL, but now I've starting to experiment with lower resistance builds I have more than just MAH on the mind. Fortunately my batteries and wire are currently in harmony but that was by good fortune rather than good judgement that's clearly not going to last if I keep experimenting.

I'm sure they're fine for most users, but I can only go by my own experience of them which has been enough to put me off buying any more.

I'd be the same if it had happened to me. I have to say that the Pulse has an awful battery compartment. It's not easy to get a 21700 in and out.
