My Mums vape kit I bought from JAC went faulty, refuses to charge anymore... Email JAC and just got this reply

" Hi Jamie,

Thanks for getting in touch with us, although I'm sorry to hear about this.

Unfortunately, as your device is one month out of the 6 month warranty period, we would be unable to repair or replace this for you."

Do I have any rights?

According to uk consumer law, after 6 months you’d have to be able to prove their was a fault at the time of purchase. So really this means you are likely on to plums.

HI Jamie,

If you PM me your account email, I can look into it for you. The warranty is 6 months on some kits and 1 year on the Tilt, but I can double check with customer service for your situation.

I just checked with CS and they knew who you were, they have said they have already offered to replace the battery since that email was sent in further communications, so you should be sorted. Warranties are a tricky one, as nobody wants to be a dick enforcing them, but at the same time, they do have to have a cutoff point. We take every case individually once over the warranty period and try to be as fair as possible, you should normally have at least been offered a discount on a new kit, I have not seen the whole communication so this maybe was the case. However hopefully it's all sorted now.
