a newbie mixing e-liquid

Hi all, I’m not new to vaping, I've been at it about 10 years now after smoking roll ups for about 50 years.

I am new to making up my own e-liquid. If someone could point me in the right direction I would be very grateful. Up until now I’ve been buying e-liquid from B&M stores. Its unflavoured which I’m happy with and I’d like to try and replicate it. It says on the bottle that its 12mg/ml but when I look at buying nicotine it seems to come in percentages rather than milligrams, its very confusing.

I came across a web site selling 7.2% nicotine. Is this the strongest nicotine I can buy? Its £35 for 500ml is this a good price, is there anywhere else cheaper?

Also every recipe I’ve seen has flavour added to it which I don’t want Can I just use more dilutant to make up for the flavour which I don’t want?

As I said earlier if anyone can find the time to answer my questions I would be very grateful

hi @spycatcher unfortunately it’s illegal for vendors to sell nic to the public that’s stronger than 20mg since the tpd regulations were introduced. there are some “unscrupulous” vendors that do it, but you won’t find discussion about it on the forum for obvious reasons.

Since 2016 TPD law its illegal for suppliers to sell to the general public and as this is a public forum that shows up on google we cant discuss where it may be possible to buy.

To clarify, 12mg is 1.2% so 7.2% is 6 times stronger. Be careful with nicotine.

Mixing unflavoured eliquid is easy. 12mg is the same as 1.2% nic. 7.2% is the strongest you can get in the UK, although it should only be sold to businesses, not private individuals.

You need your nic, PG, VG, some bottles, and some scales that go down to .00 grams. Don’t bother with syringes, it’s much easier to mix by weight.

Hi Zouzounaki, thanks for the reply, I dont want to be getting into trouble with the forum speaking about anything illegal. You said 20mg is the strongest allowed, This is where i'm getting confused. Is the 7.2% nicotine stronger than 20mg? Is this an illegal site i have been on?

2% = 20mg

Its a grey area. It can be talked about but no names or links to companies allowed.
Some companies advertise it but when you check out they ask for a trade account in acordance with the law. then there are some that are breaking the law as they blatantly advertise and sell to the genera public.
