What's new

A vape box delivered to your door every month.

From what you've described, I don't think it's a bad idea. It's just a question of HOW are you gonna reach the noobs? (Which is your market).

As crewella has said. I've yammered on for ages about juice viscosity so it would be great for you to road test all juices before grouping them to ensure that people get juice that's appropriate for wicking in the devices they have.
A simple menu for those with multiple devices advising which juice suits which set up would be great.
We may be reasonably switched on in finding the right juice despite some not so helpful advice from some vape shops but we are a small section of the vape market and the most common reason I've seen for new vapers switching back to smoking is due to burning out coils to quickly on unsuitable juice.
Indeed, or trying higher VG juices in MTL kits and complaining of lack of flavour.

As I see it the main problem with your plan Josh is that you are focused on this subscription idea because of the time you ran out BUT most vapers, new or otherwise do not want that. You could easily bolt your idea onto a successful business that was already established in the coil and juice market. Your biggest challenge would be becoming one of those established traders given that imo the market is saturated with companies that have got a long head start on you.

At the very least you have to stock all coils for all stock coil tanks, and probably the tanks to put them in and devices to put them on and spare parts. If you only stock the coils but not the devices then you are not going to get the new vapers as they buy their first device. Many folk will first buy a device based on price and are likely to return to the same vendor for coils. if you are not in the device market you are loosing a lot of potential future custom. Then you have your huge stock of juice. IF you establish yourself as a successful trader then you might find that there is a small segment of the market that are looking for the service you want to offer.

If I wanted to get into the vape business I would be looking for a small niche where I could become a big fish in the small pond. Coils and juice is a huge pond well stocked with big fish as well as lots of tiny fish on ebay and such like.

If you just want to sell juice and coils then that is easily done, just do it. Set up your site buy some stock and start selling if it goes ok then build up your stock and your reputation and revisit the subscription idea at a later date.

Not for me thanks, but it does make me think again of my Vapey Vend Machine (pat pending) :)

For me, this sounds more like a service that should be offered by a local vape shop, rather than an online subscription idea.

You run out of something urgently needed and ring the shop, pay over the phone and they drop it off either to your work or your house.

IMHO most people starting out will buy a device that comes with a couple of coils and once they've used one, they'll either realise it needs to be changed and stick another coil in or say this is cr*p and stop using it.

If you decide to go with it, then good luck to you.

My local vape shop actually does that - within a 2 mile radius, I believe. Bless 'em! :)

See, that's the kind of service that would keep me going back to a shop rather than ordering online.

For good service, i don't mind paying a bit more than online prices.
