Advice needed on sub ohm tank

Hello everyone,

I vaped 3 years ago and quit. I then hit stress and started smoking again. I quit again two years ago but didn't use vape with that attempt. I've recently started vaping again as I've had urges to smoke.

I have an Eleaf iStick TC40W with variable wattage from 1W to 40W and variable temperature.
I also have a Kangertech with variable wattage from 7w to 50W.

The sub ohm tank I have has fallen apart so I'm looking to get a new sub ohm tank.

I'm aware that over the past few years people have started vaping at a higher wattage and many modern tanks won't work too well with a 40/50W mod.

I think my local vape shop are trying to upsell me by flogging me a whole new mod and tank and I don't really want to do that as I have two batteries that are working fine and when I vaped on them three years ago they gave me all the flavour and vapour I needed.

I'd appreciate some suggestions on tanks that will work with these mods.

Cheers,

Gareth

I had a kangertech from ecigwizard that had variable airflow. I've no idea what the model was. It was before TPD came in.

I also had an aspire mouth to lung tank too but I want to stick to sub ohm with nicotine free.

Eleaf Mello 3 nano and mini, Uwell Nunchachu Tank, Smok Spirals, Innokin iSub range, Kanger Toptanks ... will all work in the 25-50w range, with the right coils, there's probably a lot more too...

Hi @Gar3th100 and welcome to the planet.

nout wrong with the istick 40TC mate as ive got 3 of them and use one at work every day (ok i have got about 25 other mods as well :))
i still use the original kanger subtank mini for my custard fix at work which has been used every day for almost 4 years. they were replaced by the kanger toptank mini which is still available in a few places. thanks to the law it all chaged a coupe of years ago thanks to tpd and its now a max 2ml tank but there are loopholes.

sadly there are a few shops that are just out to sell new kits to unsuspecting customers. what area do you live and apes may be able to advise other shops to look at.
if you dont mind waiting a few weeks then you could order from china where you can still get full size tanks. fastech and gearbest are the main two.
you can also find all our recommended hardware suppliers on post 5 here POTV Vendors & Recommended E Liquid Suppliers

My local shop know that I'm not a complete newbie and have vaped before. But I don't think they stock the tanks that will work on a 40/50W mod.

I'm not bothered by the 2ml tank size.

I am currently vaping on an Aspire PockeX. I think I can get more using my two mods. I don't really want to spend more than £20. I see Amazon are listing loads of tanks I'm just not sure which ones will work.

One question came to my mind when I read the OP's post, and it was, how long can you leave your typical 18650 without using it before it doesn't work? In other words, how long will an unused 18650 battery last? I honestly don't know the answer but it concerned me slightly, so I thought we should ask.

I've not used my 18650 for over 3 years. I charged it up two weeks ago and it still appears to be holding its charge. That could change when I start vaping on it again...
