Hi all

I would really appreciate some advise from the professionals...

I have an iStick TC40W mod and my tank (MTL) literally fell apart :17:. A very kind neighbour lent me his old tank (Looks like a Smok TFV8 https://www.vapestreams.co.uk/shop/smok-tfv-8-big-baby-beast-vape-tank-copy/) until i can get a new one and it happens to be a DTL one.... which i have decided I really like, although its a massive tank for my mod so looks a bit daft but desperate times an all that!!! So to get to the point... does anyone have any recommendations for a DTL tank that would work well with my mod?

any advice would be appreciated- thank you

I just bought the melo 3 sub ohm tank. It is also d2l, however you’ll need all of that wattage to run it. Got mine from tecc, they have lots of tanks to choose from. You may find one, that will fit in your wattage range. Good luck

its a tfv8, oh jeez :D thats a big bugger for the istick.

you really need a minimum of 50-60watts just to wake them coils up. i did buy one but didnt like it so gave it away.
so the options are do you want to stick to the istick40 or upgrade to a more powerful mod.
of course they will be quite bigger than the istick so you have 2 options if you want to upgrade.
built in battery with 100-150watts or a mod that takes 18650 batteries so you will also need a external charger.

there are a few subtanks that work at lower wattage so will work on the istick. the only one i have is the original kanger subtank mini which has now been replaced by the toptank mini.
the only problem is thanks to the tpd law they are all a maximum of 2ml in size if bought from the uk. to get bigger tanks you will have to buy from china from gearbest or fastech (links on post 5)
POTV Vendors & Recommended E Liquid Suppliers

i will let others offer advice on other subtanks as my main ones i use are 9 uwell crowns which need a good 40-50 watts for decent flavor.

lol!!! it was an emergency situation though so can i be forgiven?!?!?!?

To be honest for the time being i'd like to stick with the istick- I've not had it that long!!! I'll take a look at the 9uwell crown one too... thank you for your help

Thank you @Ebony I was looking at the Melo 3 so i'll do a bit more investigation on that one

The Aspire Cleito Exo, with the 0.4 coils will perform very well at 30 watts.

of course your forgiven. anything is better than a cig.

and its 9 uwell crown tanks i have. actually got 23 mods on the go with a variation of tanks but i like the crown 1, crown 2 and SE1 crown tanks best.

this is the toptank mini but only available from china https://www.gearbest.com/kanger-toptank-mini-_gear/

others mentioned but i think they would need the full 40watts to get their best potential.

Kty_c hello

I'm still very fond of the good old Innokin Isub tank series. The Isub G with an 0.5 Coil wil DTL very nicely at anything between 25 and 35 watts.I bought two ex display 2nd hand tanks on a local auction site for a tenner posted not so long ago.Not huge cloud machines but good flavour and a reasonably good vapour cloud

not used this tank but was this the seller https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-...hash=item33d2021f82:m:m-YcKHSoWDFZpWUX5FwKDfQ

i dont normally advise buying from ebay but that mainly juice so if you can get it for a this price at £10.99 i guess its not to bad.
