Hi

i bought an aegis boost last week, on my second time filling it i may have broken it but im not sure.

i opened the chimney cap where you put the juice in. The cap was kind of in the way so i moved it to the side slightly, while moving it i may have put to much pull on the little rubber cap because it popped off. The cap has a rubber tether that keeps it in place, at the end of the tether is a small rubber “anchor” that keeps the cap from popping off (which it did).

while struggling to get the cap and tether back into the hole the small rubber anchor broke off. The rubber anchor piece is now in the hole and can not be removed.

im concerned now is the rubber piece in my juice? Will it be “vaped” with the liquid and potentially taste horrible and be unsafe to breathe? The whole device is rather dark so i can not see where the small piece is.

sorry for poor writing but im on a cell phone and kind of PO’d about the whole situation, struggling with the rubber cap got juice everywhere and was rather frustrating.

im hoping maybe someone is more educated about these devices and would know if there is anything to worry about?

I think you will be ok, as long as the pod is ok the rubber piece will stay with the liquid and not reach the coil. it will have to pass through cotton ( not going to happen), and it should be quite inert in vape juice.
And yes start looking for a replacement pod, just to have no worries on it.

I would get a spare pod, just for a spare. Why arnt you trying to flush it out to start with in a bowl so you can see when it comes out.

I would buy a replacement pod. No harm in the loose rubber being in the liquid, BUT... it has now left a hole to allow air into the pod which will mean the coil will flood, and possibly worse case, leak fluid.

Replacement pod is the way to go, just swap the coil over to the new pod and you are good to go. Redjuice sell pods, and they do them in the 3.7ml non_TPD capacity.

Alternatively, The Vaporesso Target PM80 i bought is knocking the socks off the Boost for performance, i would highly recommend one if you want something different

If it had gone into the juice area then it is retrievable somewhow. Get a long needle, spike it and draw it out. Or do like Iqon said.
It shouldn't effect anything though as its the same material the juice is in contact with from the bung itself and the bung is the final seal, the anchor wasnt sealing anything if it works like the usb bung seal on my X mod.
Funny this came up because just earlier today a similar thing happened with my misses Aegis X and the usb bung. Only with the X the end has disappeared into the mod :18:
