What's new

Aegis boost did i break it?

The pod does split along the middle near the base of the pod, you'll see a couple of latches along the side of the pod but it is rather difficult to do and it seems to be where a lot of people devices leak from so you might weaken that seal.
If you pull the coil out if the bottom you can run water into the pod to clean it out a bit easier (put the dust protector cap on the drip tip/cover it so water doesn't just go all the way through) only small problem with this is you can't fully dry it afterwards... Means you don't have to open the pod though.

*To be honest I don't think that rubber would cause much of a problem if you left it in, the melting point is way higher than the boost will ever get and rubber is not toxic... That's if the bung is made just of rubber though.

*Arrow shows one of the slots to split the pod in half, theres 1 the other side and 2 smaller ones on each end. Just above the orange line is where the pod comes apart.

HI All,

Thank you for your helpful posts. When I posted this it was i had just filled up my pod with the last of my liquid. So i was really upset because I wasn't sure if I should use it, it was late and stores were closed.

It was helpful to get the re-assurance that the rubber would not react with the hot components and I have a new pod on order, but I was able to vape the last of my juice at the time.

Still getting the hang of the new vape. Used Sourin Airs for about a year and wanted to upgrade, was pretty upset that the new unit instantly had issues with me. I have leaking incidents a lot, especially if I throw it in a coat and it is sideways, which is pretty frustrating because the sales person was all "this thing is indestructible", not sure what the point of being indestructible if you have to maintain the posture of the device.

Just replaced my first coil and juice got everywhere as I didn't watch the video online that shows you should rinse the pod and I guess not have juice in it.

Also went to the store and bought some new juice, got home and the box says not for sub-ohm vaporizors... my pod says 0.4 and 0.6 on the coils it came with so I think the juice isn't right. So not sure if that person was helpful either, I guess I can use it on the sourin which online says its 1.0 ohm.

All in all thanks for your help folks :-) :-) I just wanted to rant a bit about some things that frustrate me with this. But you all seem super chill and I'm thankful there were 15 replies, that's really awesome thanks for being helpful people.

Peace & best to you all

Hi mate

Sorry u are still having issues with it. I received 2 replacement pods from geekvape and the pod as not leaked from the sides at all and i never get any leaking from the coil base anyway even with the old one.

When changing the coil u don't have to wash the pod out, its best to do it while empty or if it had less than 50% you maybe able to tilt all the juice to one side, take the old coil out and put the new one in without it coming out. Play around and see.

What juice did u buy exactly? What the pg vg ratio? On the 0.4 u should use 70/30 plus really and with the 0.6 you can use 50/50 or 70vg/30pg.

Don't order replacement pods from a uk store as they will be tpd 2ml only

Hope this helps!

It’s a bit disappointing that many of these fancy new devices have such a basic flaw as leaking. Cheap shite, I suppose.

I have two of them and the one thing a boost doesn't need, is any help to leak.
In its defence, it is one of the best pod devices for flavour that I've tried, so that's the only thing that keeps me using them.
The bung is easily removed if you have a TPD pod on the way.
