Aegis boost pro battery life questions

Hi all,

Not new to vaping but kinda new to the forum and didn't know where to put this.

Moved away from mods & tanks a few years back with my setup up until a few weeks ago being two Aegis boosts (the oldest ones) which I'd swap out for charging etc.

Anyway one thing led to another, they both broke, so purchased a boost pro with two LG HG2's. I had to buy the batteries from the same local place I bought the boost pro due to brexit/customs.

I'm using the 0.2 ohm coil at 50w. Checked a few calculators online and they said I should get around 250 3sec puffs. I'm only getting around 150, with the battery life only lasting a few hours vaping on and off.

I'm not complaining as I like most of the other elements just wondering if this sounds right?

I'm obviously gonna try the 0.4 ohm which I assume will cut me back to 35-40w which should save battery.

Fully open to just having made a mistake in my purchase given that battery life was my main concern.

Any help/answers appreciated.

Actually if you're getting 150 3 second hits from a single battery - that is 7 and a half minutes of run time. To be honest that doesn't sound too bad to me.

I use 2600mah Molicel p26a in single 18650 mods and get approximately 200 2 second hits at 50 watts (approx 6 minutes 40 seconds) so I don't think your batteries are fakes.

I'm not a particularly heavy vaper - if I'm vaping at 50 Watts a single 18650 will get me 6 - 8 hours vaping time. If you're taking 150 hits every couple of hours I think you need a dual battery mod - I find that a pair of 18650s in a dual battery mod give almost 3 times the run time of a single 18650 if run at the same power settings. I know this makes little sense because 2 batteries have only twice the mah of a single, but for some bizarre reason sharing the amps load between 2 batteries gives better run time and only electricians and magicians know why.

Running higher ohm coils will give you more hits - but it will also give less vapour, so you may find yourself chain vaping more often. Sorry bud, but for the amount you vape I think you should consider a dual battery mod, a single 18650 just won't last long unless you go the MTL route.

The other thing to consider is using a single 21700 mod, I've got an Aegis Max (and a couple of others) and I would definately recommend it.
