Ok, I don't know if anyone else has come across this problem, or if it is just limited to me. But have tried to use my new AGA tank on my MVP2 mod and it refuses to fire. It fires on my basic ego battery but it's only glowing slightly warm and not red hot, just a pale orange :) This implies that the coil is fine and the centre pins aren't in contact. Has anyone else come across this on the MVP? Have tried pushing down the center pin on the AGA and this has not helped. Which now implies there may be something wrong with the coil/build.

Do I need to get another mod to vape this or am I doing something utterly stupid?

I have only built one coil so far...but several times, using different Kanthal wires (.15 to .25) and different wicks (mesh and ekowool). Same result each time. If I cant use my MVP can anyone recommend a decent mod for £50 including batteries etc? Maybe stretch to £70 if it was pretty looking :)

I did that...it didnt help. Thats why I dont know whats wrong! Will try again tomorrow. If it works I'll post it here. But I have little hope!!!

are you able to test the ohms of the coil?

if not whats the guage wire and wrap count?

The only ohms tester I have is the one built into the MVP 2. And it wont read it. I tried various set ups...

3 wraps of .25, 4 wraps of .25

3 wraps of .15 and 4 of the same.

3 wraps of .20 and at this point I gave up and thought it's not gonna work. Wish I had another mod I could test it on!

I would guess the mvp has a limit of maybe 1.2 or 1.4 ohms. below that and the thing simply wont fire. sounds to me like your below the threshold for the MVP.
if your after a decent mod for under £50 you cant go wrong with a smok magneto or smok Galileo for £35 and 39. and efest IMR batteries will cost ya around 7 each and a nitecore 2 port charger will do the job for the batteries.

But regardless of any amp limit, it should still be able to read the ohms.

true enough. might be a bad connection between the mod and atty too, pin adjustment would normally fix that but I do know some mods and atty comobinations just wont work because of lack of a decent connection
