Hi need some pointers please, just set up an Aga t2 for the first time, looked at all the videos onyYoutube and think I have done it right but one possible issue I have is the top wire where it connects to the centre post is glowing hot before all the other coils heat up , not sure if this is the norm or not also when cold the ohms are reading 2.4 but when hot it drops to 1.8 again not sure if this is normal or not? Poor quality video so you can see what is happening

I myself have 2 AGA T2's and this is a big problem and I think it is still to do with the distance from the wick to the center post HOTSPOT:banghead: This is something that can take a little tweaking of your coil and as I have found moving the top of the wick a little closer to the center post this seems to have solved the problem for my although you will still have to solve those HOTSPOTS:banghead:. I think that word begining with h Ho HO HOT should be an official curse word in the vaping dictionary ya know like "Get stuffed ya HOTSPOT" :banghead: Or the ultimate curse "You are worse than a genesis HOTSPOT:banghead:.. Any way I hope that I have been of some help to you jocave.

If I have a hotspot there's two things I do
1. push the top wire that connects to the centre post with a screw driver so it bends a little
2. fiddle with the wick and coils so they're evenish
Then I pump the button a little and hey presto, it always fixes the hotspot

Thanks gonna try Cobras suggestion first really want to stick with the ss wick

I had nightmares at first with mine and after loads of frustration I found the grub screw just wasn't holding the wire tight enough (credit to ZT for suggesting the grub screws are crap in the first place!). I then went on eBay and bought some ss 2.5mm nuts and that solved the worst of my problems. I have to use pliers to tighten them up fully but once done up they hold brilliantly :)

Noooo whit I will not come over to the dark side as I am recoiling my ss again ROFL...... Uh oh guess what HOTSPOT:banghead:
