Evening all.
I think I know the answer to the Title of the post, but I wouldn't mind other folks input as well.
I love boros. I love the concept of boros. I have a Stubby 18650, one of the first batches, and bridge wise I have the Mission XV Orbit, Psyc, Kerch+ and the Ether.
Now, I can not for the life of me get wicking right in any of the 4 bridges it feels like. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but I've tried so many different methods, and just can not get the hang of it.
Right now, I have a .28 4 core alien from Scott inside the Ether. I've followed all of the YouTube videos down to a T for wicking. I'm getting a good tanks worth out it, all is fine and well. I then fill the tank up, and instantly its like I'm vaping on borrowed time before I get a dry hit.
Am I going mad?
I've been thinking over the past few days, it may be the original stubby that I'm using that's causing it. It doesn't matter the cotton brand, juice brand, method of wicking - I've tried countless methods and keep getting the same result.
I have a funny feeling it's the fact the original Stubby doesn't have any side airflow, it's just the front it comes through.
It feels like when I'm refilling the tank, somehow the air pressure has changed and then all of a sudden I'm not getting the same good wicking I was getting when the coil and cotton was fresh.
Am I going fucking mad? I feel like I am.
I don't want to sell everything - I already have the Mission XV Orbit up for sale as I'm just not getting on well with it, but I'm starting to think it's not the bridges or the tanks, it's the mod.
Any thoughts on this? Any recommendations for a mod where you have front and side airflow? Do you reckon that's my issue? I've only ever had the stubby, haven't had any other boro mods so nothing to compare it to.
The draw on the Ether the way I have it just now is amazing, but I've got 2/3 of a tank left, and I know fine well once I go to refill, I'll then need to pull the base off and rewick as I'll end up getting dry hits after rewicking.
Much obliged for helping me stay sane if someone can get back to me [emoji23]
