It is stories like this that the pro TPD side will clamour for.
Unregulated and untested e-juice putting a teenager in hospital, so therefore ALL e-juice should be tested and regulated prior to sale will be their response.

Let's hope the teenager comes out of hospital ok....one death is one far too many.

Sadly, that in itself won't prevent a repeat of incidents like this.

Great News! No mention of e-cigs at all and the liquid that she purchased and used was not described as e-liquid.
The news story was quite unique in that it was not turned into the usual anti vaping ranting that we are used to.
(Bet the Daily Mail will give it it's best shot though)

I love it! The thicky anti vaping brigade won't catch on to this because their blinkered brains can't see beyond a Blu!

Mind you, I always did think that cannabis was a gateway to vaping. If only she was 14 and not 18, then I could have shouted "Think of the Children"

I was just about to post that story as it came up in my local news feed. It's very disheartening to see vaping linked to drug use. We get enough bad publicity as it is. I hope the idiot is going to be ok.

Cannabis oil is very different to e juice , it is very potent and its the drug that put them in hospital not the act of vaping

I've no idea if it can be vaped off a ecig device , I've " seen" drops of it done off vapes with a hotplate type surface or joints dipped in it , never in a 4 or 5 ml tanks

What's in juice is one part where I support regulation. Think they may have gone a bit harsh with the 20mg nic though.

Then again, it will probably push vendors to sell better kit to newbs, so they can get their nic-fix. Which hopefully will drive down the price of ALL kit because as we all know, price is a barrier to entry and smokers trying to quit is the biggest market...

They could have controlled the contents of juice and still left it so folks could experiment by enforcing similar regs to food preparation. Certified ingredients, inspected storage and prep facilities, job done. If you know what's in the ingredients, you know what is in the product. The individual certification of each variation is the daft part
